Chapter 2: Divine Farming System

 Tianjin Village

"Chief! Chief! Where's the village Chief?" Shouted a middle aged man with tattered clothes anxiously.

Smack..!

"What are you so anxious for?" An old man holding a cane with his right hand slap the back of the middle aged man's head.

"Chief it's you!, I brought you good news" The middle aged man who was slapped answered,  not angry at all. He said, "Chief, Mr. Dong Hai from Trinity Sect would come to visit our village to test the aptitude of the children. It would be great if someone in our village got selected and becomes a Trinity Sect's disciple."

"Why didn't you tell me that sooner" The Chief of the village berated angrily. "Tong Shan gather all the children below 20 years old. All of them should be tested, it would be the honour of our village to have someone becomes the disciple of the respected Trinity Sect."

A few miles away from the village.

A silhouette silently emerged from the bushes .

"What kind of mysteries does this world have, to be able to have such freaking pets, summon items out of nowhere, also that transportation magic" Feng Shaotian muttered.

That's right, the silhouette who emerge nearby Tianjin village was Feng Shaotian.

At Present there are only 3 SSS ranker which are the current empress and emperor in each nation, not including those secretive powerhouses and those not affiliated to humans.

There are also Sects and Clans who has hidden old monsters and lots of promising rankers ready to bloom.

Feng Shaotian arrived at the village entrance after walking for some time. Ding Bang was following behind him alert.

The village was a little small and economy is lacking. Walking around, he saw several people running towards the same direction.

He also followed their tracks out of curiosity, minutes later in an open space, Feng Shaotian saw almost all the village people surrounding a small flatform with excited expression.

A man in his 30's was currently standing there holding a shining crystal ball with different lights. He wore a luxurious violet robe with D rank marking on it. According to the information he got from the scroll, that ball with different color is called 'Aptitude Scanner' which Evaluate a person's talent.

'He's a D rank with warrior talent, so weak? Is Hui Qing a monster?' Feng Shaotian thought as he saw the marking on the person's robe.

Feng Shaotian saw a line of young people below 20 years old looking at the man on the flatform with admiration and desire.

Feng Shaotian also joined in the line not to admire the man in the flatform, but to know what his aptitude would be.

The strongest in the village is the village chief, an E ranker while the rest are just F rank trash.

"Those of you who want to test your aptitude line up" Mr. Dong Hai said calmly while scanning the crowd.

There are currently 15 young people with Feng Shaotian last in the line. Seeing that there are many young people to be tested, Mr. Dong Hai felt happy as he might find someone with good talent among the group.

“Let's start”

The first to step up was a robust 18 years old young man. A worried expression plastered on his face as he walk towards the flatform.

"What's your name and age?" Mr. Dong Hai asked.

"Tang Hao, 18 years old"

"Put your hand in this crystal ball" Mr. Dong Hai instructed.

Tang Hao put both of his hand on the semi transparent ball. Seconds later, the light's inside the ball become clearer violet after that, the energy forms and becomes letter F.

"Tang Hao, 18 years old, F rank warrior talent" Dong Hai said in disappoinment as he thought 'What am I expecting from a little village like Tianjin?'.

"Next!"

A few minutes later

"Tong Shen, 19 years old, F rank assassin talent!"

This was the 13th time but still all of them are F rank ranging from healer, warrior, and assasin talent.

The village chief couldn't help but sigh in disappointment.

The 14th one was a girl. She was adopted by the chief himself from the city. The chief still remembered her cying face begging for money just to have something to eat.

She walked straight to the flatform with anxious but resolute expression.

"Jing Hua, 19 years old" After introducing herself. Jing Hua put her slender hands on the crystal ball praying, 'please give me a better aptitude, I want to help Father Chief fulfill his wish'

Green energy fluctuates from the surroundings surging to the crystal ball. Blinding the crowd by its shimmering lights.

Gasp.!

The crowd gasp in astonishment.

"Village Chief!!! Your daughter is awesome!" Tong Shan exclaimed.

"Yes.. yes.. that's my good girl.." the village chief can't help but tear up in joy. How can he expect that the girl he adopted would be such a blessing?

After sometime the fluctuations in the surroundings stop. The energy inside kept wriggling, several seconds later. The energy formed and became letter C!.

Feng Shaotian was shocked. Such a miracle, even in such a run down village can have such promising talent.

Mr. Dong Hai's expression beamed with happiness. After wasting so much of his precious time, he still manage to find some diamond in a rough.

"Jing Hua, 19 years old, C rank healer talent!"

Hearing Mr. Dong Hai's confirmation. The village people erupted with thunderous exclamation of excitement.

"Miss Jing Hua do you want to become a disciple of our Trinity Sect. If you accept my offer you'll be one of the core disciples and obtain great benefits and resources for you to grow?" Mr. Dong Hai clearly won't let such opportunity slips by. If somehow he manage to hooked her to their sect. He would received abundant resources in the next coming years. 'With those resources, I'll become a core disciple in no time!'

Jing Hua looked at her father chief for confirmation. Seeing him nod his head, she happily accepted the offer.

"What are we waiting for? It's time for a celebration!!" The Chief said gloriously.

"Yeah.. it's worth a celebration. After this event our village would surely prosper!" Shouted Tong Shan.

"That's right!"

"Let's go, let's prepare wine and roasted meat for Mr. Dong Hai to have a taste!"

Everyone happily exchange word for such a happy occasion. But among the crowd, one of them wasn't happy at the sudden change at all.

"Wait...!" He shouted.

Everyone had question mark above their heads, while thinking 'who would be daring enough to stopped their joyous occasion?'

A boy with an eagle like eyes saw Feng Shaotian among the crowd which was unfamiliar to him.

"Village Chief, that kid!" Pointing at Feng Shaotian. All the residents in the village looked at his direction.

Seeing such glare scared Feng Shaotian inwardy but stays calm on the outside.

"What do you want boy?" The village chief asked calmly.

"It's like this sir, I would like to test my aptitude too. But, if you all go to celebrate now, how can I test my talent then?" He reasoned indifferently.

"What you said is quite reasonable, well then I'll give you a minute to test your talent" Mr. Dong Hai said still in a good mood.

Feng Shaotian casually walked to the flatform. Putting his hands on the crystal ball that emits lights. A few seconds later, violent fluctuations from the surrounding attracted everyone's attention.

The ball emits different colors from red, green, violet and so on. Brightly illuminating the surrounding crowd.
